1st T-Shirt Day
BSCA hosted its first t-shirt day on “World Sickle Cell Day” June 19th, 2015. The association solicited donations from individuals and organizations throughout the Bahamas in support of sickle cell awareness through the sale of t-shirts for $10.00 and wrist band for $5.00. BSCA raised $3,410.18 from this event.
2015 Sickle Cell Awareness Month
Celebrated “SICKLE CELL AWARENESS” month with appearances on Bahamas at Sunrise television show and NB12 news cast to promote and educate the public on the existence and activities of BSCA and the t-shirt day every Friday in September.
1st Quarterly Public Forum
In conjunction with the Bahamas Pharmaceutical Association (BPA), the BSCA hosted its first (1st) quarterly public forum at the J. Launched its first logo competition crowning Ms. Kerri Bascom the winner and launched its 2015 slogan “Combat the Crisis”.
